Community Services Block Grant

 There are many problems in the world today, but poverty is among the most devastating our community experiences. Community Services Block Grant staff works diligently in Gaston, Lincoln, Stanly, and Cleveland Counties helping families rise above poverty.


We believe everyone should be self-sufficient and are always willing to assist families to reach their potential. We focus on employment, increasing wages, budgeting, and making choices that help them to become all they can be.

The focus is to help each family to rise above poverty through:

  • Gaining employment
  • Sustaining employment
  • Advancing on the job
  • Increasing wages
  • Self-sufficiency
